Wake Up! Sydney Central


Wake Up! Sydney Central is located in central Sydney right next to Central Station, not far from most of the city’s main sights. In less than 15 minutes you can be in Chinatown or the Sydney Aquarium or at Darling Harbour. It is a half-hour walk to the Opera House, or you can catch a bus and be there in no time. Right around the building there are some great shops, restaurants and bars, too. The hostel is the first stop on the airport’s shuttle bus route, so you will be checking in not long after you have collected your bags.

There are both private and dorm rooms available at Wake Up! Sydney Central - the private rooms on offer are twin rooms or double rooms, with or without private en suite bathrooms, and the dorms range in size from four beds per room to 10 beds per room. You will find mixed dorms and female only dorms at Wake Up! so you can choose which kind of dorm suits your style best. Well, except for the guys - you do not get to stay in the female only rooms, sorry.

The TV lounge is comfortable and inviting and there is a selection of videos available if you find nothing on the telly. If you are hungry, there is a bistro and a cafe where you can get cheap grub or have a drink with friends. In the evenings, the fun Side Bar is the place to be. And then if you find that you want to do more than just vacation in Sydney, there is even a jobs desk where you can try to get yourself employed in this fantastic city.

With lots of backpacker amenities and a great friendly attitude Wake Up! Sydney Central really is one of Sydney’s best hostels.
