The Sant Jordi chain operates several hostels in Barcelona, and also rents out apartments to students or other people staying in the city long-term. A couple of the chain’s hostels come up on several “best of” lists, and the Sant Jordi Arago Hostel usually ranks highest. The hostel lies in the heart of the city, a short walk to the Plaza Catalunya and just down the street from two of the Gaudi masterpieces which fill Barcelona. There is a metro stop right outside the hostel, as well, which will get you anywhere in the city that you do not want to walk - including the airport!
Sant Jordi Arago Hostel is not large, and there are only four dorm rooms - sleeping six, eight or ten people each. The comfortable common areas, including a living room and dining room, are the ideal places to hang out with friends old and new. To help you save money, there is a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook all your meals. The hostel also includes several free amenities with your stay, which really help to set it apart from the competition.
Some of the amenities you will find at Sant Jordi Arago Hostel are:
Forget having to drag your hair dryer on holiday with you, or all your travel guide books - Sant Jordi Arago Hostel provides hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, and all sorts of guide books for your use during your stay. The friendly staff is also on hand to provide all kinds of travel information as well. The common areas include a DVD player, board games and a guitar - just in case you are thinking of getting a hostel band together - and there are a couple of balconies to hang out on as well. Of course you cannot spend your whole vacation inside the hostel, even if it is nice - so you can join the regular organized trips to local restaurants, bars and clubs that leave from the hostel, too.
The relaxed atmosphere at Sant Jordi Arago Hostel, coupled with its fabulous location and excellent amenities, make it clear why people like staying here so much. Our guess is that you will enjoy your stay here, as well.
