The Sant Jordi chain has several hostels all over Barcelona. (They also rent out flats for students who are staying in the city long-term, actually, so if you decide after your holiday that you want to stay longer, you know who to ask!) There are two which come up again and again as being the best the chain has to offer - one of them is Sant Jordi Alberg, otherwise known as Sant Jordi Roger de Lluria Hostel. It is a self-described party hostel, centrally situated about a 10 minute walk from Plaza Cataluyna and Las Ramblas, so you can walk to the city’s biggest sights. You can also find markets, bars and restaurants right around the hostel itself, too.
The rooms at Sant Jordi Alberg are for either two, three, six, eight or ten people, so you can choose what level of privacy you want after a long day of sight seeing and a long night of dancing! All bathrooms are shared and linens are included in the price of the room. And to help you save money, there is a guest kitchen you can use to cook all your meals. Of course, if you are looking for more service, you can even request that all meals be brought to your room as well!
Some of the amenities you will find at Sant Jordi Alberg are:
The friendly staff at the Sant Jordi Alberg speak several languages and are ready and willing to help you with all your travel questions. They can help you find the best places to eat, drink or go dancing, they can help you book tours of Barcelona’s sights, and they will do their best to make you feel at home. There are organized groups which go out to local bars and restaurants almost every night from the hostel, so you can join in the fun and make some new friends at the same time.
This friendly and centrally located hostel is all about you having a good time in Barcelona, and judging from the reviews they get - Sant Jordi Alberg succeeds.
