Li’s Hostel

Li’s Hostel is part of the TWH-HostelHK group in Hong Kong, and is located in the infamous Chungking Mansions (which are anything but) on Nathan Road in the Tsim Sha Tsui neighborhood of Kowloon. The area is full of shopping and entertainment options galore, as well as enough restaurants and bars to choose from to make your head spin. In a positive sense, of course. Oh, and many of the tourist sights in Hong Kong are close by as well.

There are plenty of room choices at Li’s Hostel, from a private single room up to a bed in a dorm style room and everything in between. The three classes of rooms are “Economy” (with a shared bathroom), “Standard” and “Luxury” (both with private bathrooms). The primary difference between a “Standard” and “Luxury” room appears to be the type of bed you get - for example, a bunk bed as opposed to two twin beds - but if you have doubts about what you get for the extra cost, be sure to ask when you check in.

Some of the amenities you will find at Li’s Hostel are:

  • Free linens and towels
  • Internet access and WiFi
  • On site restaurant and bar
  • Airport pickup available
  • Luggage storage and security lockers
  • Laundry facilities and guest kitchen
  • 24 hour security and 24 hour check in

The staff at Li’s Hostel is dedicated to making sure you enjoy your stay in Hong Kong. They are happy to help with any travel questions you have, and are able to book not only city tours but also flights and train tickets as well. You can also arrange airport transfer to and from the airport if you like. The staff also has your safety in mind, especially with so many independent hotels and hostels operating out of one large building, so if you return to the hostel late you will have to show your passport or ID (or something that the hostel has given you, check with them before you go out) to the security guards in order to be let back in.

As with most Hong Kong hostels, be wary of strangers claiming to be from Li’s Hostel when you get off the bus or subway. Instead of following them, just proceed according to the hostel’s directions.
