Lilliput Hostel

If you think small and cozy when you hear the name Lilliput Hostel, you would be right. This hostel is tiny and adorable – and only a few steps from Rome’s main train station, Termini. It is also right next to the Cavour stop on the Rome Metro, so if you do not want to walk to the Colosseum or Roman Forum (which you can do), you can always hop on the subway or a bus to get anywhere you want to go in the city.

The dorm at Lilliput Hostel is not a typical dorm – it is small and there are no bunk beds. For a little more privacy, you can book either the double or twin room. That is right, there are only three rooms in this hostel! Hey, we said it was small! The bathroom is shared, even for the private rooms. Breakfast is included and the atmosphere is friendly and social (thanks to the outgoing nature of the owner, Letizia), so you might feel more like you are staying with friends in Rome instead of in a hostel. And really, with such a small number of guests, you are bound to make friends.

Some of the amenities you will find at Lilliput Hostel are:

  • Free linens, towels available
  • Free breakfast
  • Free internet access
  • Laundry discounts
  • Luggage storage and security lockers
  • Guest kitchen
  • 24 hour reception and 24 hour check in
  • No curfew or lockout

Letizia operates the hostel with the same care and affection for travelers that she and Giorgio take with Lilliput Hostel’s sister hostel, Friends Hostel. She is not on site at Lilliput Hostel, however, so you need to be really specific about what time you will be arriving so she can come let you in and get you settled.

You will no doubt enjoy the feeling of having your own apartment in Rome that you get from Lilliput Hostel, and in such an excellent location it is even better.
