Leonardo House

At Leonardo House there is a real Leonardo - and we are not just talking about a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci on the wall! No, Leonardo not only runs his hostel with care, he lives on site so your security is assured. Leonardo House is right in the center of historic Florence, only a short walk from the Florence train station as well as most of the city’s main sights, including the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery.

All the rooms at Leonardo House are double rooms, although if you need an additional bed you can request one. Some of the rooms have an en suite bathroom, others make use of shared bathrooms. The rooms which share bathrooms are the cheapest, so they are perfect for anyone who is trying to save money.

Leonardo House is on a quiet street, so you will be able to enjoy the bustle of the city when you want to and then retreat to the calm of the hostel when you want to relax. Leonardo is happy to help you with whatever you need, including making reservations at the city’s top museums (a good idea during the busy season) or waiting for your arrival at the train station to personally walk you to the hostel! Check in is from 8:00am-1:00pm and again from 4:00-8:00pm only, unless you let him know that you will be getting into town at another time.

The Leonardo House location is enough to make it one of Florence’s best - right in the historic center but on a quiet street - but the personal attention of Leonardo as your gracious host will make you feel like you are visiting an old friend rather than staying in a hostel.
