Hostel Rosemary


You might think that in order to sleep cheap in a touristy city like Prague you will need to stay far away from the city center. While that is usually true, there are some places right in the middle of everything where you can stay for a good deal. Hostel Rosemary is one of those places. It is a short five minute walk from both the lovely Old Town Square and bustling Wenceslas Square. It is also a short walk from Prague’s main train station, so it is unlikely you will even need to hire a taxi. Anywhere that you cannot walk you can catch a bus or hop on the Metro, both of which are convenient and cheap ways to get around the city.

At Hostel Rosemary you can choose from dorm style rooms with up to 12 beds in them or, for a bit more of your own space, you can opt for a private room with en suite bathroom and even your own private kitchen. There are also private bedrooms that share bathrooms and kitchens, which are available for a lower rate. Those staying in the dorms share bathrooms and kitchen facilities. The more space you share with other people, the lower the prices will be. Of course, the prices are going to be a bit higher at Hostel Rosemary than at some other places further outside the city, but with its excellent location and the fact that you will probably not even need to purchase much in the way of tickets on public transportation, it is still a great deal.

Hostel Rosemary offers discounts for students with an ISIC cards and also offers discounts for groups or for long stays, so be sure to inquire about that. And forget about dragging your hair dryer with you to Prague, you can borrow one at the hostel for free. The friendly and informative staff is on hand at all times to answer your travel questions and help you with anything you need – whether it is advice on where to eat, what to do or how to get there, or assistance with arranging things like airport shuttles or taxis.

The location for Hostel Rosemary is just about unbeatable – it is really exceptional to be able to walk out the hostel door and be in the Old Town Square in five minutes – and yet the prices are still great, too. Being so close to the city’s main sights is a luxury, but at Hostel Rosemary it is not an expensive one.
