HI-Vancouver Central

HI-Vancouver Central is one of three Hostelling International properties in Vancouver which merits a place on our list. Located on Granville Street in the middle of an entertainment district, the hostel is ideally situated in the city center so as to make your visit easy. Much of what you come to Vancouver to see and do will be easily accessible from the hostel, including many of the city’s best bars, night clubs and pubs.

Guests at HI-Vancouver Central can choose from private or dorm style rooms. The dorms are either mixed or single sex (the mixed dorms are for couples or mixed sex groups, single travelers should book a bed in either the male or female dorm - preferably the one that matches your own gender), and the dorm sizes range from three to four beds per room - so none of the rooms is overcrowded or uncomfortable. All of the dorms make use of shared bathrooms, as do some of the private rooms, but the bathrooms at HI-Vancouver Central are not locker-room style - these are single rooms which you can have all yourself, and some of them even feature claw-foot tubs.
