The HI - San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf is a Hostelling Inernational property and claims to be San Francisco’s first hostel. It almost does not matter which came first, however, as the Fisherman’s Wharf hostel is one of the city’s best. It is in an historic building in a park that boasts views of the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz, between the Marina district and the Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood. So even though guests can enjoy a bit of greenery and peacefulness which might be hard to come by in such a big city, the hostel is not far from everything visitors will want to see in San Francisco.
