Goodnight Backpackers Hostel is a relative newcomer to the hostel scene in Lisbon, and it has opened with a bang. The hostel sits in central Lisbon on a pedestrian street in an historic part of the city near the Rua Augusta. It would be hard to get much better than that. Many of the city’s main sights are within walking distance, and when you are tired of walking there are several public transportation methods nearby as well.
The Goodnight Backpackers Hostel is both cozy and historic - the hostel has only four bed rooms, all dorm style, and two big bathrooms which are shared. The hostel is in an 18th century building which as recently been renovated, so you are surrounded by historic charm with all the modern conveniences. There are even three lovely balconies from which you can watch Lisbon life go by.

Goodnight Backpackers Hostel is in what is called the Baixa neighborhood of Lisbon, which is just another name for downtown Lisbon. This area of town was built during the 18th century and is under consideration with UNESCO to become a World Heritage Site. Even without such an official designation, however, the neighborhood around the hostel is bustling, busy and a treat.
Sometimes when a hostel is brand new there are a few kinks to work out - but Goodnight Backpackers Hostel seems to be pleasing its guests with a mixture of old-world charm and modern touches, not to mention friendly and helpful staff.
