Citystay Hostel
Citystay Hostel in Berlin Mitte, sometimes called Citystay Mitte for its central location, is right in the middle of the “Mitte” area of Berlin - which is the middle of Berlin. The hostel is between Hackescher Markt and Alexander Platz and a short walk from many of Berlin’s main sights - including the Brandenburg Gate and “Checkpoint Charlie.” For anyone who wishes to do less walking, the Berlin metro system is efficient and easy to use, and there is a stop near the hostel.
The rooms at Citystay Hostel vary from private single rooms up to dorm style rooms with seven or eight beds in them. Some of the rooms have private en suite bathrom facilities, although most do not. The shared bathrooms are singles, however, so you will have an entire bathroom to yourself when you need one - it will just be down the hall from your bed! There is a one-time charge for bed linens, and you will need to bring your own towels, but breakfast is included in the room rate.

Right around Citystay Hostel there are lots of restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs - the neighborhood is full of artists and very hip - so you will not have to go far to find entertainment. If you are feeling really lazy, you can even stay in and eat at the hostel’s own cafe, which serves lots of organic foods. The area around the hostel is also quiet, however, so you will not have to listen to the comings and goings of Berlin’s party people all night.
Citystay Hostel’s central location and great prices definitely make it an excellent deal - it is a good choice for your trip to Berlin at any time of year, but summertime is nicest so you can enjoy the lovely private courtyard!
