Astor Victoria

Any search of London hostels will turn up several with the Astor name - and while they are all part of the same chain of hostels, there are a few in particular which are worth noting. One of those is the Astor Victoria.

The Astor Victoria is close to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens, Portobello Road and Notting Hill - and from the hostel you will be able to walk to many of London’s main attractions, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and that impressive (if slow and expensive) ferris wheel, the London Eye. And since you will not be spending a fortune to stay at the Astor Victoria, you will then get to save even more money by not having to take the Tube everywhere you want to go. It is genius!

But the Astor Victoria is about more than just low prices - although the Victoria prides itself on being cheap, the staff also works hard to make sure a stay with them is also really fun. After all, they are travelers, too - they know what you are looking for.

Some of the amenities you will find at the Astor Victoria are:

  • Free linens
  • Free continental breakfast
  • Luggage storage and security lockers (you provide the padlock)
  • Fully equipped uest kitchen and laundry facilities
  • TV lounge with cable/satellite TV and DVDs
  • No curfew or lockout

Like many of the other Astor properties, there is an age restriction at the Astor Victoria - all guests must be between the ages of 18 and 35. This means that the people staying at the Astor Victoria have a really good chance they will have similar interests and get along well. You never know - you might even make a friend for life at the hostel!
