Astor Quest
Astor hostels come up on many “best of” lists in London, and our list is no exception. Among the Astor properties to pay attention to is the Astor Quest.
The Astor Quest is a cheap, non-smoking hostel close to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Portobello Road and Notting Hill, which puts you within walking distance of some of London’s top sights. So not only do you save money on your bed, you also save money by not having to take the Tube everywhere. Like all Astor properties, the Astor Quest is in central London and anything you cannot walk to is only a short Tube ride away.
Some of the amenities at the Astor Quest include:
- Free linens
- Free breakfast
- Internet access
- Laundry facilities and guest kitchen
- Luggage storage and security lockers
- No curfew or lockout
To help create the perfect backpacker atmosphere, the Astor Quest has an age restriction – all guests are between the ages of 18 and 35, which means you will be surrounded by people who you are likely to get along with really well. If you are traveling alone or just like meeting up with fellow travelers, the Astor Quest pretty much guarantees a social setting.
Most of the Astor Quest’s rooms have en suite bathroom facilities (the few rooms without their own bathrooms share facilites on each floor), and the beds are brand new and feature security lockers underneath them where you can store your stuff while you are out sight seeing around London.
In short, a fantastic location in central London and a hard-working staff who work hard to make sure their hostel is a friendly and social place to not only stay but also hang out with friends make the Astor Quest one of London’s best hostels.
